We are currently in the market for the following: Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Summary: This role is responsible for utilizing engineering staff, outside sources and shipyards in order to master a maintenance project from start to finish. Duties: -Take a design on paper all the way through to completion - Develop designs and review drawings - Put the project on the schedule based on resources available - Get approval from the USCG, ABS, and U.S. Army Corp of Engineering - Manage the schedules and budgets for the project - Liaise with the fleet accounting regarding budgeting - Negotiate a good price with shipyards and vendors Qualifications: -Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture - At least 15 years of experience in engineering - 10 years of experience in dredging or marine field - Registered PE is preferred - Ability to use Auto-desk, GHS, and Nastran in-CAD ???????
