The Clinical Product Sr. -Analyst researches, supports design, development, and management of new or existing products or capabilities. They are responsible for supporting the delivery and/or review of product/ capability performance against expectations and facilitating the changes to portfolio to improve value, competitive position, and optimal performance to meet customer or market needs. The Analyst partners with Clinical Product Owners to define and drive future product or capability direction.

The Analyst manages specifically assigned products/ services. They are responsible for the ongoing development and management of these products and services. If a Product requires redevelopment, they will work with their assigned Product Director to - strategize, design, develop, and manage the new, existing or acquisition products. -
The Analyst will leverage market insights to understand market/customer needs to identify new opportunities or make adjustments to current product offerings. They are accountable for delivering product performance against expectations and changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position, and optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs. The Analyst will partner with internal or external stakeholders (key customers, product partnerships, etc.) to define and drive future product direction. -

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Product Director in researching, understanding, and planning for product development and management
  • Manages and redevelops as necessary the Product team's market offerings database
  • Oversees and manages the Clinical Product teams Digital strategies and acts as the team's liaison to the enterprise's digital team
  • Accountable for proactively collaborating across the enterprise to identify, deliver and support the best "Better Together" solution
  • Assures any product strategy, planning, prioritization, management and deployment of UnitedHealthcare, Optum and UnitedHealth Group or vendor-sourced products and programs is done in support of the UnitedHealthcare overall business strategy
  • Understands customer and consumer needs, the marketplace in which their product(s) compete, the competitors against whom their product(s) compete, the distribution channels through which they are sold, the media through which they are experienced, and the enterprise operational and technology capabilities to design and develop solutions that provide value to our customers
  • Exemplifies the UnitedHealth Group culture in words and actions
  • Executes work with operational discipline following project and product management best practices and holds business partners to the same standards
  • Supports their Product Owner partner in measuring and supporting the financial and growth goals as they pertain to defined organizational objectives
  • Manages products through their lifecycle including making recommendations to and/or taking steps to sunset products or programs deemed no longer strategic or successful
  • Supports the on-going management of capabilities in the market
  • Works with Product Owners to assure assigned products are functioning in accordance with the standards
  • Supports product/portfolio management
  • Reports on and evaluates product performance relative to objectives
  • Completes product research and presentation of new or existing products to support the sale of products and/or services
  • Facilitates changes to product portfolio to improve competitive position and optimal product performance
  • Monitors, understands consumer and customer needs and assists the Product Owner in -translating them into product requirements
  • Manages product lifecycle through supporting strategic product planning and execution including repositioning and sunset
  • Collaborates with cross-functional partners including, but not limited to: Marketing, Actuary, Underwriting, Healthcare Economics, Operations, Finance, Market Research, Sales and Account Management, Clinical Services, Customer Service, Affordability, Clinical Value team and others

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical Services and/or Business
    • 2+ years of experience in marketing and product and/or project management -
    • 2+ years of experience working in a highly matrixed organization
    • Fluent in the use of Microsoft products and managing Tableau like dashboards

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Industry experience within the Healthcare -
      • Proven organization skills with the ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity

        Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
