Trading Analyst supporting the Gasolines Trading Group. This
position is based out of our office in The Woodlands, Texas. We
offer a hybrid work model (in the office two days a week plus
remote work the rest of the week) plus a compressed work scheduled
(9/80).In coordination with other team members, the Trading Analyst
will support the Gasolines Trading division and successfully
contribute to the strategic objectives.Expands and maintains book
specific fundamental market analysis.Understands the dynamics of
supply/demand of gasoline and the rest of products that can be
affecting the core products of the desk.Identifies (and tries to
anticipate) market trends and changes.Develops individual criteria
to produce tradeable information, from different available reports
& data.Liaison withThe Central Research & Analysis team and
Business Development so as to maintain and expand book specific
market analysis.Analysts from other desks to define global picture
across the barrel.Essential dutiesSend daily high-level reports
about regional market and other regions impacting his main
market.Create ad hoc analysis for concrete business opportunities
or trends. Support other team members to define business plans for
new developments.Supports the digitalization efforts of the desk
and liaises with other relevant departments.Develops tools (i.E.
dashboards) to further improve team efficiency at decision
taking.Understands the types of risk and exposure the desk is
having to different market, markers, etc.Develops analytical models
to support trader's decision making and strategies definition. If
needed, develops data programing and data modelling.Work closely
with team members to look profitability in the mid/long
term.RequirementsLegally authorized to work in the USA for any
employer without sponsorshipBachelor's degree in Business,
Economics, or a related fieldEarly career, 3-5 years industry
experienceUnderstanding of trading terminologyUnderstanding of risk
management fundamentalsExcellent PC skills, with the ability to
extract raw data and utilize within spreadsheets and
databases.Knowledge in signal processing, autoregressive models
(AR/ARIMA), error minimization, strongly recommended. Stochastic
and statistic knowledgeProof of Programing skills with database
modelling, plus language in python/C/C++Behavioral
requirementsCapable of analyzing problems in a logical manner and
recommending solutionsA self-motivated, enthusiastic, high-energy
individual with good interpersonal and communication skillsAbility
to work within a dynamic and diverse team located in different
