Join an expanding team working across our Global Risk
Surveillance Program. We are looking for an experienced
professional to enhance and conduct surveillance over the firm's
Commodity Market & Finance business in the Americas.This individual
will be responsible for working with our Americas Head of Risk
Surveillance and Global Commodity and Finance Surveillance Lead to
monitor the trading activity for potential market manipulation and
misconduct.In this role, you will oversee the smooth running of the
daily surveillance analysis, conduct deep dive investigations and
regular reviews of non-exchange based (OTC) activities, and act as
an escalation point for junior surveillance colleagues in their
investigations.You will ensure investigations are adequately
documented and followed through to resolution in a timely manner
and work with local Compliance staff to determine an appropriate,
coordinated level of surveillance. As part of the role, you will
also lead efforts to identify gaps and weaknesses in the current
surveillance program, contribute to the design, development, and
implementation of surveillance solutions, assist with
regulatory/exchange requests and investigations, conduct trade
reconstruction efforts, and perform team quality assurance
controls.You should have 3-5 years of experience in commodity and
energy OTC markets and be knowledgeable of the operation and
potential for manipulation across business processes, flows,
booking methodologies and client interactions. Experience with the
trading and marketing of crude and products is
preferred.Familiarity with trading systems, their data structures
and interfaces, and understanding the role of Compliance within the
banking and financial services industry will be necessary. In
addition, you should be able to demonstrate a high proficiency in
data manipulation and analysis, along with the ability to
proactively identify and analyze problems and propose viable
solutions.Knowledge of Commodity Futures Trading Commission
regulatory actions related to market manipulation and utilizing
your strong communication skills to develop relationships across
various stakeholders, including local and regional advisory
Compliance staff, Technology, and the business, will all help you
