Job Description:

KPM is looking for an ambitious Collections Specialist with strong customer service skills and a passion for people to join the team in our Houston area!This is a full time position and compensation will range based on experience.The Collections Specialist is responsible for contacting delinquent residents or those with account balances to collect payment on their accounts within our multifamily business.Responsibilities:+ Place outbound calls and receive inbound calls to collect on delinquent resident accounts, open balances on previous accounts, answer questions regarding open balances, and setting up payment arrangements.+ Assist residents and negotiate payment arrangements in accordance with our core values of empathy, agility, and integrity.+ Document all interactions with residents accurately and timely.+ Meet monthly collection goals and perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:+ High School Diploma or Equivalent required / College degree preferred + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Must be able to communicate effectively with prospective residents and team members + High sense of urgency, with the ability to meet deadlines + Ability to articulate and relay information in an effective and efficient manner+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook + Must have excellent customer service skills + Previous collections or call center experience preferred+ Bi-lingual preferredPhysical Requirements / Working Conditions: + Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday + Push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, and reach above shoulders + Must be able to type efficiently + Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds + Must be able to work indoors / outdoors or in extreme weather conditions + Must be able to work weekends and/or evenings on a rotating schedule
