Partnering with non-profit, governmental, and local entities, HCDD strives to strengthen Houston's neighborhoods, provide true housing choice and execute the Mayor's vision for One Houston with complete communities throughout. Since Hurricane Harvey, HCDD is managing more than one billion dollars dedicated to helping low and moderate-income families recover.--To achieve this vision, HCDD is seeking (2) Financial Analyst IV--to join its team. IIn this position,--you will work with a team of professionals responsible for the reimbursement process and requests for disaster recovery and special purpose grants.Key Responsibilities

• Review expenditures to determine eligibility of expenditures for grant agreement
• Compile complete, accurate and timely submission of draw requests to the GLO
• Review program area budgets, reconcile expenditures, reimbursements, and remaining funds to track progress towards program benchmarks
• Meet regularly with program area teams and report progress of submissions to the GLO
• Ensure expenditures recorded to appropriate funding source
• Coordinate responses to/for Requests for Information (RFI)
• Ensure tasks performed comply with grant agreement, federal, state and/or local regulationsEssential Attributes
  • Detail Oriented:--Job requires a high level of organizational, time management and prioritizing skills, attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Motivated:--Must be a self-starter who is well organized with strong analytical skills and works well in a team environment.
  • Computer Literate:--Experience in SAP is required. Must be highly skilled in Excel and be able to create and generate reports in Excel and Word. Must be fluent in MS Office--suite.This is a grant funded position subject to cancellation when funds are depleted and/or contract period ends.--WORKING CONDITIONS---- --This position is physically comfortable. There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.--
