Job Title: Staff Accountant - Treasury Focus Staff Accountant Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This role plays a vital part in managing cash-related functions, supporting treasury operations, and maintaining financial accuracy within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen ability to analyze cash flow, reconcile accounts, and assist with short-term financial planning. Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update cash books daily, ensuring accurate tracking of incoming collections. Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of short-term cash flow forecasts to support financial decision-making. Support debt management processes, including monthly borrowing base calculations and quarterly work papers. Work closely with the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate reporting of treasury-related transactions. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records. Monitor cash positions and provide insights on liquidity needs while aligning with company financial strategies. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve cash management processes and enhance efficiency. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant financial regulations. Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries related to treasury functions. Staff Accountant Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a corporate accounting or treasury function. Strong understanding of cash management, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Epicor/SAP) Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
