Flexible hybrid schedule Excellent benefits 6% 401K match Career growth to Controller Job Details This individual will oversee key areas of the accounting function, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, support monthly close processes, and lead process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a CPA with a blend of public accounting and industry experience, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or project-based environments. Key Responsibilities: Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Manage preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Lead the implementation and monitoring of internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP. Collaborate with FP&A, tax, operations, and project development teams to support business initiatives. Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process. Investment tax credits (ITCs) and derivative accounting experience Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights to senior leadership. Assist with technical accounting research, including new standards (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, consolidation). Support integration of new projects, systems, or acquisitions into the accounting framework. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s a plus. Active CPA license required. 6 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a combination of public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and industry experience. Renewable energy experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Energy, infrastructure, or project-based accounting experience preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
