Job Description:

Position Summary: The Buyer plays a key role in managing procurement activities, including tracking purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This role also involves maintaining accurate records, resolving order-related issues, and supporting internal teams with purchasing needs. Key Responsibilites:Â Solicit quotes and place orders for materials, equipment, or services. Monitor order status and follow up to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Address and resolve issues related to shipments, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies in billing. Work closely with internal departments to evaluate alternatives, such as sourcing options or production decisions. Keep procurement records organized and up to date in line with company standards. Notify the Procurement Specialist of any significant changes in pricing or market conditions that could affect budgets or operations. Adhere to established procurement guidelines and company policies. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant experience (2-4 years) preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with standard procurement tools and practices. Strong background in purchasing or supply chain operations is a plus. Must have a manufacturing background. Skills & Competencies: Excellent organizational and time management skills. Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal. High level of accuracy in data entry and documentation. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
