Individual and Family Plans (IFP) is a growing business within UnitedHealthcare. The marketing manager is responsible for executing on national IFP campaigns to support new membership growth. This role will be responsible for the delivery of campaigns across multiple channels include digital channels such as social, search, OLV, Display and direct response channels such as email, direct mail and text. The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly matrixed work environment with a high degree of individual responsibility and solid collaboration skills. The Acquisition Marketing Manager will report & work directly with the Director of Acquisition Marketing. This role will work most closely with the creative services, media leads, marketing operations and automation and analytics team.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Manage direct response marketing campaigns (direct mail, email, SMS) and goals in alignment with applicable business goals (e.g., revenue goals, membership goals, conversion metrics) that differentiate us in the marketplace and position us as leaders
  • Lead landing page testing and continued optimization with our acquisition experience team
  • Support consumer database build and activation of journeys with our marketing automation team including outline of use cases and requirements, and execution needed to drive sophisticated marketing journeys to drive acquisition goals
  • Implement marketing campaign tactics (e.g., project plans, budgets, creative execution)
  • Analyze/report results of marketing campaigns using applicable metrics and work with creative lead to develop/optimize creative to optimize future performance
  • Partner to ensure deliverables from external partners (e.g., ad agencies) are aligned with applicable marketing goals, strategies, and initiatives
  • Cultivate relationships with applicable internal business partners to drive support, understanding and collaboration on our marketing efforts (e.g., Sales, Product Management, Legal/Compliance, Creative Services, Operations)
  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable business strategies/goals and how they can address customer requirements and marketing efforts

    Required Qualifications:


    • BA/BS or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years in B2C/DTC marketing, media, and communications
    • 3+ years of campaign management experience
    • 3+ years of direct response marketing experience -direct mail, email, landing page and text marketing experience
    • 3+ years experience working with data science teams on direct response models and innovative direct response strategies
    • Good understanding of marketing automation and experience with marketing automation and journey tools such as SFMC and Adobe Journey Optimizer
    • Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Proven strategic and analytic thinker
    • Experience working in a large matrixed environment
    • Proven attention to detail within context of campaign and creative development
    • Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Proven advanced communication skills, working across a variety of teams and leaders within forecasting process
    • Proven ability to adapt quickly to changes in work direction and pivot work accordingly
    • Proven ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
    • Proven team player with strong ability to form working professional relationships
    • Proven outstanding communication skills (persuasive written, oral, and presentation skills)

        California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
