Job Description Job Description BGE is seeking a Planner to join our Planning Landscape Architecture Studio in Houston. BGE is a nationwide consulting firm that provides services in planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, construction management, environmental services, and transportation for public and private clients. Responsibilities: Assist with the development of conceptual plans, master plans, and lotting studies Conduct project research and reviews local development codes and regulations Prepare base maps and project graphics to support the planning process Conduct land use and site analysis Prepare general plans and subdivision plats Prepare, collects and coordinates project documents Prepare subdivision and zoning applications Coordinate with local governmental agencies Coordinate with civil engineers and other consultants Assist with special planning projects as directed by leadership Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or related field 1-5 years of demonstrated work experience Solid understanding of planning principles, practices & techniques Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, & Adobe Suite software Creative problem solving skills Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet firm deadlines BGE is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
