Job Description:

Volt is immediately hiring a CAD Designer in The Woodlands, TX with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will assist in providing quality Projects from engineering sketches for internal use and to be issued to the client.

This is a first shift position

As a CAD Designer you will:
Assist in providing mechanical design and detail drawings required for use in shop fabrication as directed by supervisor
Gather information required for design & drafting
Adhere to Document Management System for drawing numbering, editing and issuing
3D modeling of equipment
Use of AutoCAD software
Prepare detailed shop fabrication drawings

Estimated Duration: 2-3 mths.

The ideal candidate will have:
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Working knowledge of fabrication drawing layouts
Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards
Knowledge of SmartPlant P&ID and SmartPlant (preferred)
Knowledge of Inventor a plus

Education and/or Experience:
An Associate Degree, or 2 years of college coursework (or 5 years job related experience)
3-5 years related experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Pay Rate: $ 47.00 per hour
