Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Work Location: - Houston, TX Requisition ID: - 14246 Summary The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a qualified candidate with training in adult neurology with a clinical focus on multiple sclerosis as well as general neurology. The successful candidate will be appointed at a faculty level commensurate with experience and achievement. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for adults with neurological disorders in the outpatient setting. Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows will be embedded in clinical care responsibilities. Depending upon training, interest, expertise, and resources opportunities in clinical research can be available. Within the Department of Neurology, the primary appointment will be in the Maxine Mesinger Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center (MS Center). - Job Duties Outpatient MS Center Activities: This will consist of clinics in the MS Center caring for adults with MS and related disorders. This clinical activity will be embedded into the current practice of the MS Center. Outpatient General Neurology Activities (including neurological disorders in pregnancy): This clinical activity will be focused on patients who require evaluation and management as either new patients for outpatient diagnosis and management or recently hospitalized patient who have been discharged and require specialized follow-up. Education responsibilities: Learners at various levels from Baylor College of Medicine education programs will participate in assigned clinical activities. These will include medical students, residents and fellows. The successful candidate will also participate in the Department's program of seminars and lectures. Minimum Qualifications

  • The candidate must hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree. -
  • The candidate must have successfully completed residency training in adult neurology in an ACGME-accredited program. The candidate must be board-eligible/board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. -
  • Fellowship training in multiple sclerosis is required. Applicants who have just completed training will be considered as will applicants with previous clinical experience.
