Job Description:

Purpose and Scope: We are seeking an instructor for Patient Care Technician, Acute Care Technician, and other basic medical skill programs. The responsibilities include planning, developing, and teaching courses to facilitate student learning. Essential Job Functions:

• Teach Continuing Education courses
• Develop and utilize course syllabus
• Instruct students in lecture, on-site laboratory, and off-site clinical facilities
• Perform ongoing evaluations
• Submit required college reports
• Provide timely access to students through office hours and electronic communication
• Maintain professional relationships with students and colleagues
• Other related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills Physical Abilities:
  • Various physical requirements including lifting and exerting force
  • Ability to push, pull, squat, turn, twist, bend, and stoop
  • Close visual acuity for detailed work
  • Expressing and exchanging ideas through spoken word Required Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Three years of acute care experience in hospital or LTAC setting
    • Texas Certified Nursing Assistant Certification or equivalent Preferred Qualifications:
      • Associates degree
      • One year of formal teaching or industry training experience
      • Current RN or LVN license in Texas Salary: $53.82 per contact hour
