Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher
of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the
Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized
education services as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for
K-12 students within a well-established school district in Cypress,
TX. This on-site contract position offers the opportunity to
support a districtwide itinerant caseload, delivering tailored
instruction and intervention to visually impaired students to
enhance their learning and independence. Key Responsibilities: -
Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with
visual impairments across K-12 grade levels. - Develop and
implement educational plans aligned with individual needs and state
guidelines. - Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and
families to provide integrated support. - Conduct assessments and
maintain detailed records on student progress. - Facilitate access
to assistive technology and other resources. - Participate in
professional development and district meetings as required.
Qualifications and Experience: - Valid Teacher of the Visually
Impaired (TVI) educator license is mandatory. - Experience working
with visually impaired students in K-12 educational settings. -
Strong understanding of instructional strategies and accommodations
for visually impaired learners. - Ability to manage an itinerant
caseload effectively across multiple school sites. - Excellent
communication and collaboration skills. Location & Schedule: -
On-site position located in Cypress, TX. - Contract duration: ASAP
through July 3, 2026. - Weekly hours: approximately 32.5 hours.
