Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A full-time position is available for an Elementary
Life Skills Teacher specializing in special education for
elementary students with intellectual disabilities. This role
requires teaching skills tailored to support students' unique
learning needs in an elementary school setting. Location: Houston,
TX Job Duration: Contract through 5/26/2026 Hours: Full-time, 37.5
hours per week Caseload: Elementary students with intellectual
disabilities Qualifications: Valid SPED EC-12 certification for the
State of Texas through TEA (Texas Education Agency) Ability to work
onsite as this position is not remote Successful completion of
district fingerprinting and drug screening processes
Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education
programs (IEPs) Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student
needs Collaborate with staff to support student progress and
wellbeing Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively
with parents and team members Support the inclusion of students
with disabilities in the classroom environment Additional
Information: Position is a backfill for a current district
employee, making timely completion of credentialing requirements
essential Assignments may be at one school location within the
