Job Description:
Are you a motivated Pipeline Engineer ready to take on impactful
infrastructure projects along the Gulf Coast? We're seeking a
technically skilled and detail-oriented professional to support the
day-to-day engineering operations of gas transmission and gathering
pipeline systems. Â Job Summary The Pipeline Engineer is
responsible for executing engineering functions related to gas
transmission and gathering pipeline systems in the Gulf Coast
region. This includes leading capital project execution, ensuring
regulatory compliance, supporting operational safety and integrity
efforts, and coordinating across departments and contractors to
deliver technically sound and cost-effective solutions. Â
Supervisory Responsibilities: Assigns, schedules, monitors, and
reviews the work of others including contractors, but no direct
reports. Â Key Responsibilities: Engineer, design and implement
small to large capital projects on gas transmission system.
Pipeline Simulation utilizing hydraulic modeling software. Ability
to write scopes of work, change orders, and design bases. Assign,
schedule, monitor and review the work of others including
contractors. Ensure that the Engineering and Operations plans and
activities are delivered within budget and minimize non-cost
recovery. Evaluate and resolve pipeline encroachments associated
with one-calls. Update Regulatory manuals as needed. Perform
contract administration and construction inspections for moderately
complex projects including reviewing final plans, specifications,
special conditions, and agreements. Prepare and interpret
engineering plans and specifications and communicate technical
requirements to employees and contractors. Acting as a focal point
between Asset Integrity & Operational Support and other departments
on matters related to Asset and Operational Integrity Participation
in the Management of Change (MOCs) processes Participate and/or
lead (if necessary) HIRAs, including Task Risk Assessments and
Operational Risk Assessments (ORAs), and Root Cause Failure
Analysis (RCFA) Supporting the Functional Management Team (FMT) in
improving business processes and procedures  Required
Skills/Abilities: Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read maps,
prints, drawings, and technical manuals Proficient at preparing
technical reports Self-starter who can handle a fast-paced
environment Working knowledge of natural gas compression equipment
and the mechanical design of gas compression equipment (including
reciprocating engines, gas turbines, electric motor drives,
reciprocating compressors, and centrifugal compressors) and
supporting systems. Solid basic engineering skills Proficient in
Microsoft Excel, Word, Projects, and PowerPoint Knowledge and/or
application experience with industry standards (DOT 49CFR192, API,
ASME, ANSI, NACE, NEC) Â Education and Experience: Bachelor's
degree in civil, chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering or
in related field and/or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 2
years of post-grad pipeline engineering experience Must possess and
maintain a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
compliant with company policies and insurance requirements. Travel
up to 25% Â Working Conditions This position will be
Monday-Thursday at the client site on State Highway 249 in Houston,
Texas during the training period with the option for a hybrid work
environment post training, schedule to be determined by supervisor.
