The Sales Engineer plays a strategically important role for NielsenIQ's Total Wellness Sales Team as a key resource during high-value sales campaigns. You will work in conjunction with sales associates to demonstrate the value of our solutions and the insights our clients can obtain from day one to lead to the sale of products within our Total Wellness portfolio, including Nielsen Product Insight, Emerging Trends, Digital Discovery, Explorer Market Navigator and Trending Attributes.

Responsibilities Include

  • Clearly and convincingly articulate our Total Wellness offerings and value proposition and overcome any resistance from prospective clients
  • Ability to understand/explain the value of NielsenIQ's approach (versus other companies)
  • Develop custom demo sequences depending on the sales cycle stage and client need
  • Demonstrate the NIQ solution to clients in a live environment
  • Create sample analyses using concrete business benefits
  • Laise between sales, product management, solution architecture and operations on the scope and style of demos, proof of concept (POC) sessions, and proposed implementation engagements
  • Manage hands on POC meetings with client teams
  • Contribute to building proposals and presentations that clearly communicate why the solution is right for specific clients based on their business needs
  • Provide direction to the sales team on how to devise recommendations and build the best demo sequence of our solutions to their clients
  • Lead training sessions for licensed clients to ensure they're obtaining value from day one

    Do you have the necessary skill set to be successful in this role?

    You are a talented and competitive marketing and sales professional that thrives in a quick sales cycle environment. You play an important role in helping us achieve our ambitious revenue growth objectives, you are comfortable in creating connections over technologies. You must be comfortable "running the show" in front of any size, level or function of the audience. You must be resourceful, calm and quick thinking when something goes wrong to minimize contention and distraction. Ideal candidate will have SaaS experience, and experience working with market measurement data.

    Qualifications
    • 6+ years' experience in a relevant industry (CPG, consulting, sales)
    • Bachelor's degree or higher
    • Proven leadership skills
    • Positive attitude - glass is always half full
    • Willingness to travel to remote client locations (15%/20% depending on needs)
    • Enjoy ambiguity and complex business challenges
    • Positive team member through all stages of sales cycle
    • Aggressive self-starter, able to quickly adapt to changing environments
    • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals
    • Familiarity with NielsenIQ tools, applications, and platforms a plus
    • Familiarity with Label Insight tools, applications, and platforms a plus
