description:Arcadis is seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineer, with
wastewater and facilities experience, to join our engineering team
in the Western U.S. This position will support all seven Class I
freight railroads in North America.Arcadis is a leader in railroad
wastewater and facilities engineering. In this role, you will
utilize your experience and expertise to successfully lead the
design and implementation of wastewater systems and facilities
engineering projects for our Rail clients throughout North America.
This role has tremendous growth potential if you are interested in
expanding your career into Project Management and Client
Development (Seller/Doer).Role accountabilities:Leading and
performing the development of wastewater & facilities projects,
leveraging your experience in wastewater collection system,
pump/lift station, and water/wastewater treatment design and
facilities engineering (fueling facilities, car & diesel shops)
including investigations, studies, analysis, designs, and
construction administration services.Overseeing the planning,
design, and construction administration of projects to ensure
compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes,
statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis quality and
safety practices.Communicating with project teams, establishing
goals and objectives, and scheduling and coordinating resources to
deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance
expectations of the client.Providing technical expertise on
multi-disciplined projects as a design leader.Leading, supervising,
and supporting the work of others while mentoring junior technical
staff.Qualifications & Experience:Required
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
or a related field of study8 years of experiencePreferred
Qualifications:Master's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
or a related field of study10 years of experiencePE license or the
ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hireConstruction
management experience including on-site observation as the Resident
Engineer for a project at a railyardPrior railroad project
