Yulista Solutions LLCRegularPRIMARY FUNCTION: The Aircraft Mechanic -performs a variety of simple to moderately complex tasks on airplane general, airframe and powerplant systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAircraft Mechanic (ALL AIRCRAFT)---Perform maintenance on aircraft, including mechanical systems, and/or ground support equipment. ---Repair, inspect and maintain structural, mechanical and electrical elements of the aircraft. ---Knowledgeable in the use of and be able to train others in the use of a wide variety of diagnostics devices, computers, hand, and mechanical tools. ---Provide oversight and have the ability to direct and train others in the completion of aircraft related maintenance tasks. ---May include Designated System Inspector (DSI) duties.---Troubleshoot systems as required to meet customer needs.---Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements. ---Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.---Maintain tool control. Report missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor. Inventory and inspect tools on a regular basis and replace worn or broken tools.---Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing day to day maintenance. Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.---Use NASA's automated maintenance data system (NAMIS) to maintain equipment records. Enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verify the work was performed satisfactorily.---The Aircraft Mechanic may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.Aircraft Mechanic Sheet Metal (ALL AIRCRAFT)---Assembles structural parts and components to meet requirements for preserving structural integrity. ---Assesses damage to aircraft structural components ---Advises on structural repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatment with respect to original strength, weight, and contour to maintain structural integrity. ---Perform maintenance on aircraft, including avionics, mechanical systems, and/or ground support equipment. ---Repair, inspect and maintain structural, mechanical and electrical elements of the aircraft. ---Ensures aircraft component balance is maintained. Assembles repairs using special fasteners and adhesives. ---Checks repairs for serviceability according to specifications and technical publications. Manufactures jigs, fixtures, forms, and molds. ---Uses metalworking equipment and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts to damaged structures and components. ---Knowledgeable in the use of, and be able to train others in the use of a wide variety of computers, hand and mechanical tools. ---Provide oversight and have the ability to direct and train others in the completion of aircraft related maintenance tasks. ---May include Designated System Inspector (DSI) duties.---Troubleshoot systems as required to meet customer needs.---Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements. ---Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.---Maintain tool control. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred---Ability to enter data accurately into databases.---Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. ---Ability to write routine reports and correspondence---Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members---Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.---Ability to follow a process.---Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up. ---Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.---Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.---Ability to perform basic mathematical computations---High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently ---Ability to multi-task---Climbs on top of and down from aircraft using aircraft hand/foot holds, capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. overhead, on feet all day, walk up to 2 miles per day.QUALIFICATIONS: Aircraft Mechanic---High School Diploma or equivalent required.---May require a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant certification or special skills and/or certifications. ---3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience with fixed wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required.---Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract.---Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.---Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance---May be required to travel domestically and internationally.Aircraft Mechanic (Gulfstream)---High School Diploma or equivalent required.---Requires a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification. ---5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience with fixed wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required. ---Requires Gulfstream Aircraft Experience.---Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract.---Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.---Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.---Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.Aircraft Mechanic Sheet Metal (Gulfstream)---High School Diploma or equivalent required.---Requires a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification. ---5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience with fixed wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required. ---Prefer Gulfstream Aircraft Experience.---Aircraft structural repair experience required---Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract.---Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.---Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.---Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.Aircraft Mechanic (Corrosion)---High School Diploma or equivalent required.---May require a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant certification or special skills and/or certifications.---Requires three (3) or more years general experience in aircraft and painting corrosion control. Must be able to obtain Respirator Qualification---Must be able to work weekends & travel when required.---Must have working knowledge of fiberglass/plastic repairs.---3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience with fixed/rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required.---Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract---Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.Aircraft Mechanic Jet Engine---High School Diploma or equivalent required.---May require a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant certification. ---3 + years of aircraft maintenance experience with fixed wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required.---3 + years jet engine experience in a back shop environment, teardowns, build-ups, HPO, PE and Test cell runs.---Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract.---Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.---Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.Aircraft Mechanic - Hydraulics---High School Diploma or equivalent required.---May require a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant certification or special skills and/or certifications. ---5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience with fixed wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required.---Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a hydraulics technician (teardown, build-up & testing) hydraulic systems components in a back shop environment. ---Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a hydraulics technician working scheduled, unscheduled and troubleshooting hydraulic malfunctions. ---Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract.---Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.Aircraft Mechanic Sheet Metal---High School Diploma or equivalent required.---May require a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant certification or special skills and/or certifications. ---3 + years of aircraft sheet metal experience with Fixed/Rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required.---Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract.---Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.---Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.Aircraft Mechanic Machinist (ELP)---5 years' experience as a machinist ---Machinist/Machine Technologist Certificate to include the following disciplines: Print Reading for Machining Trades, Basic Machine Shop, Basic and Advanced Lathed Operations, Precision Tool and Measurement, Grinders (outside, internal, surface), Welding, Machine Tool Technology---Shall be able to perform physically demanding tasks and lift 50 lb.---Performance of these duties represents a Senior skill level---Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required. ---Understanding knowledge of Machine tools Manual Lathes & Mills) ---Practical knowledge of technical practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) ---Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance and how it applies to part inspection---Must be able to hold tight tolerances with various metal types---Ability to pass a drug and background screening---Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearancePREFERENCE STATEMENTPreference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants and to spouses of Calista shareholders, and to shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g).EEO STATEMENTAdditionally, it is our policy to select, place, train and promote the most qualified individuals based upon relevant factors such as work quality, attitude and experience, so as to provide equal employment opportunity for all employees in compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and without regard to non-work related factors such as race, color, religion/creed, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, citizenship, genetic information, or other protected status.
