Headquartered in Houston, Texas, we execute on a global basis leveraging the insight and knowledge of the local market._ Position Overview: Independently evaluates, selects and applies engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to concurrent engineering projects. Applies expert engineering judgment in making adaptations and modifications to projects. Performs complex tasks and leads multi-disciplinary engineering and design team members to successful completion of project tasks. May be required to assume few project management tasks, however this position is that of technical expertise. Likely to lead multiple engineers and/or designers over fast-paced projects and related assignments. Also likely to assist Client in Client offices for development of Engineering/Design RFP's for select Projects.Significant design and design review responsibilities, engineering calculations, studies, detailed design, report writing, field investigations and direction of lower level engineers and/or designers. Frequently interacts with Project Managers, engineers, clients, vendors, and contractors.Assists in the directing the project workflow of engineers, designers and drafters to ensure project completion. Responsible for the technical content and quality of the work, and the functional integration of individual project tasks. Selects and applies industry standards, required regulatory requirements, engineering principles and concepts in field of specialization with advanced working knowledge of other related disciplines.Responsible for reporting on work progress and performing tasks with little supervision. Directly reports to the Client and the Engineering Resource Center Director. Moderate to significant experience in any or all the following categories is desired: Gathering systems concept design - reservoir/production engineering knowledge, wellhead design, hydraulic and process analysis - multiphase flow, simulation tools, slug catcher sizing and analysis, PVT reports interpretation, etc. Typical oil/gas battery mechanical/process design - separators, slug catcher, oil heater- treaters, gun barrels, field compressors and pumps, vapor recovery, water treatment and injection, safety systems, reef systems, flare, etc. Central Facility design - sweetening units, dehydration modules, JT skids, pipeline pumps and compressors, pig launchers/receivers, etc. Gas Plants Equipment specification, cost estimating, P&ID review, and process safety. Regulatory requirements (DOT 192/195) as well as industry standards and practices (ASTM, API, NACE, ASME, etc.) Additional Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university required. Typically 8-10 plus years related engineering experience. PE preferred, but not required. Ability to work with multiple commercial engineering software packages a plus. Microsoft Office experience required. Most work to be performed in office environment with periodic visits to project sites and/or short-term field assignments.
