Experience and Skills Required: - A minimum of 5 years of experience in a network engineering role with enterprise and/or industrial network implementation and administration experience preferably in a mission-critical environment - Extensive Cisco switching and routing implementation and troubleshooting experience in enterprise and/or industrial networks requiring high availability/reliability - Firewall implementation and administration experience, preferably Cisco and Palo Alto - Experience implementing and troubleshooting large VPN deployments - Experience implementing and supporting 3rd party MPLS, Software Defined Networks (SDN) or other wide-area transport technologies - Experience implementing and maintaining wireless technologies such as LTE, Satellite, Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multipoint, and Wi-Fi - Working understanding of the Purdue and/or Zones and Conduits security models - Working understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices - Working understanding of monitoring and management tools, scripting experience a plus - Exceptional written and oral communication skills, customer focus, and ability to work with both technical and non-technical people. - Experience creating and maintaining network drawings with tools like Visio Preferred Education - Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience and Cisco or Palo Alto certifications
