Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support the Design and Engineering team within the Places business area. This position is remote and can be performed anywhere in the United States. Arcadis office space is available for individuals who would like to work in an office environment.

Role description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to join one of the best-qualified design consulting firms in the country. The structural engineer, with the support of a strong nationally recognized technical staff, will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of structural design & construction engineering to successfully execute projects in multiple manufacturing sectors including Automotive, Aerospace and Technology.

Role accountabilities:

  • As an essential member of the design team, lead all aspects of the structural design for new manufacturing facilities, facility upgrades, resiliency evaluations and design, and structural assessments, as well as performing senior level technical/ design tasks. Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
    • Supervising and leading structural project teams/resources
    • Overseeing completion of technical work by team members
    • Providing technical guidance/mentoring to team members
    • Managing project budgets and schedules
    • Performing quality reviews of calculations, drawings, and specifications
    • Oversee completion of assigned structural projects and produce deliverables on schedule while meeting/exceeding both Arcadis and client technical and quality standards.
    • Coordinate structural work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office / project staff, clients, and sub-contractors, throughout the project life cycle, including construction phase services.
    • Some travel may be required to support projects, as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
      • Demonstrates a strong ability to work on a task with little or no direct oversight.
      • Structural analysis and design skills.
      • Solid professional structural engineering experience related to the design of manufacturing facilities.
      • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Qualifications & Experience:

        Required Qualifications:
        • Minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience including supervision of elements of large, complex manufacturing facility projects
        • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
        • Understanding of, and experience with, Microsoft Office, REVIT, BIM360/ACC, and Bluebeam software applications.
        • Experience and proficiency with MathCad, Tekla Tedds, RISA, Staad and/or other similar structural software
        • Professional Engineer (PE) License
        • Candidate must be a born, or have obtained a naturalized, U.S. Citizenship.
        • This position does not offer U.S. International H1B Work Visa Sponsorship.
        • Candidate must currently live in the United States

          Arcadis offers benefits for full time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start, and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. This position is eligible for participating in a company bonus program. The salary range for this position is $97,600 - $168,360
