Center Point Energy is looking for a Gas Engineering Intern to join our Team, located in Houston, TX. You will have the ability to represent Texas Gas Engineering by assisting engineers with a variety of projects. To be successful in this role you will:

• Assist designers in project design activities.
• Research the status of various public improvement projects.
• Update Access databases and Excel spreadsheets concerning project status.
• Provide project completion data for public improvement projects. Your background includes:
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student (sophomore, Junior or Senior preferred) with a strong GPA pursuing an ABET accredited Bachelor of Science degree preferably in Industrial, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Requires no prior related work experience. A bonus to be:Able to demonstrate and apply excellent oral and written communication skills.Able to communicate and interact with all levels of management and associates and perform well in a team environment. A solid foundation in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) is required. Microsoft Access is a plus.Able to use initiative, good judgment, and tact to complete assigned tasks..This contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR ---- 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a), and 60-741.5(a).
