Position Summary
As the Engineering Manager, Americas, you will be a key member of
our Global Engineering Services team, playing a critical role in
supporting our business development and sales teams by providing
technical expertise, customized solutions and value-added support
that contribute to Oceaneering's growth and success in the
region.
You will provide technical leadership across asset integrity
management and reliability & maintenance engineering playing a
vital role in expanding these engineering services to new regions
and markets. You will lead a team of engineers as part of a matrix
organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams and other
Oceaneering divisions to ensure the highest level of integrity,
safety, and efficiency in our operations.
WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL
--- Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment,
working both virtually and in office when required.
--- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to
25%.
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL
--- Technical Consultation and Support: Serve as a technical
advisor to the Americas Senior Sales Manager and Key Account
Managers (KAM), providing insights and recommendations on asset
integrity, reliability, and maintenance-related solutions.
--- Customized Solutions Development: Working closely with the
business development and sales teams participate in client meetings
and discussions to understand their specific needs and
requirements.
--- Leveraging their technical expertise, contribute to the
development of customized solutions and proposals that address the
unique challenges faced by clients in the region.
--- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of
reliability and maintenance engineers, fostering a culture of
continuous improvement and innovation. Provide guidance and
training to ensure the team's success.
--- Project Execution: Support region in developing implementation
and operational plans to execute integrity and maintenance
engineering scopes. Provide technical support during handover from
business development to tendering to project execution. Provide
technical leadership and support during project lifecycle.
--- Value Proposition Enhancement: Assist in articulating the value
proposition of the company's products and services, highlighting
the technical advantages and benefits they offer to clients.
--- Technical Training and Support: Provide technical training and
support to the business development and sales teams, ensuring they
have a deep understanding of the company's offerings and their
technical capabilities.
--- Equip the sales team with the necessary technical knowledge and
tools to effectively engage with clients, address their technical
inquiries, and overcome potential objections.
--- Solution Validation and Assurance: Collaborate with the
business development and sales teams to validate proposed solutions
against client requirements and industry standards.
--- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Actively engage with the
business development and sales teams to gather feedback from
clients and identify opportunities for product enhancement and
innovation.
--- Budget Management: Where appropriate manage the department's
budget, making strategic decisions to allocate resources
effectively and control costs.
--- Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
NON-ESSENTIAL
--- Ad-Hoc support for planning, execution, and successful delivery
of engineering projects
--- The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the
post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably
be expected within the scope of the post.
--- Assist with any other duties as and when required.
--- Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
--- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline in a
relevant subject (e.g., Corrosion Engineering, Materials
Engineering, etc. or related field).
--- Minimum 10 years' experience in integrity management /
maintenance engineering within the oil and gas industry.
--- Proven track record of excellent problem solving and research
skills, while projecting a positive, professional image
--- Minimum 7 years' experience in leadership and team management
roles.
--- Knowledge of industry best practices and standards related to
reliability and maintenance.
--- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
--- Excellent organizational, motivational, and interpersonal
skills.
--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
--- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to
25%.
DESIRED
--- Master's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline in a
relevant subject (e.g., Corrosion Engineering, Materials
Engineering, etc. or related field).
--- Familiarity with IDMS (Integrity Database Management
Systems).
--- Experience in a matrixed product/service line organization is
desired.

Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a
designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the
hiring manager based on business need.
