Job Description : Manager, Maintenance and Reliability Huntsman
is seeking a Manager, Maintenance and Reliability supporting the
Performance Products Division located in Conroe, Texas . This
position will report to the Sr. Engineering Manager. Job Scope A
Huntsman Maintenance and Reliability Manager is responsible for
overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations within the Conroe
facility, ensuring safe and efficient upkeep of production and
utility equipment by leading a team of maintenance technician,
improving preventative maintenance plans, managing budgets and
responding to equipment failures while prioritizing safety and
compliance with company standards. In summary, as the Manager,
Maintenance and Reliability, your duties and responsibilities will
be: Leadership Supervising a team of maintenance technicians,
assigning tasks, and providing performance feedback. Fostering a
culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement within the
maintenance team. Developing and implementing training programs for
maintenance personnel. Planning and Scheduling: Identifying and
prioritizing maintenance needs based on equipment criticality and
reliability analysis. Creating and managing preventative
maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime. Utilizing
maintenance management systems to track work orders and spare parts
inventory. Operational Efficiency and Cost Control: Track, monitor
and drive improvement of reliability and equipment utilization KPIs
Developing strategies to optimize equipment uptime and minimize
maintenance costs. Managing maintenance budgets and ensuring
adherence to spending guidelines. Analyzing maintenance data to
identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Technical
Expertise: Strong understanding of industrial machinery, including
mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. Collaborating
with engineering teams on equipment upgrades and modifications.
Safety and Compliance : Ensuring adherence to all safety
regulations and procedures within the maintenance department.
Investigating and addressing safety incidents related to
maintenance activities. Promoting Huntsman Zero Harm mindset among
maintenance personnel. Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinating maintenance activities with production teams to
minimize operational disruptions. Communicating effectively with
other departments regarding maintenance needs and updates. Building
strong relationships with external vendors and contractors Other
general responsibilities: Follows instructions and performs other
duties as may be assigned by supervisor. Assists other employees in
accomplishment of Huntsman company goals. Participates in and
completes company-required training programs. Participates in
Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the
company. Qualifications You must possess the below minimum
qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum
requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates. The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work
for Huntsman in the United States. Minimum Qualifications A minimum
of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or
Instrument/Electrical Engineering with 10 years specific
experience. Maintenance and reliability leadership experience
within a Chemical Plant or Manufacturing Facility. Skills and
knowledge Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email,
and Microsoft programs. Must have an extensive knowledge of
maintenance, reliability, inspection, purchasing, and contracts
systems. Must have strong organizational skills. Must have
understanding of instrument and electrical systems, components, and
gear. Must have a broad knowledge and extensive experience in
engineering, maintenance, and reliability of petrochemical
manufacturing facilities. Possess experience and ability to
coordinate the activities of plant maintenance and engineering
disciplines. Ability to predict and foresee infrastructure upgrades
needed and plan accordingly. Must be highly engaged and exhibit a
high level of ownership for plant, property, and equipment. Ability
to systematically conceptualize and justify plant improvements and
provide planning and scheduling solutions for all plant activities.
Ability to be goal oriented and able to adapt to new situations.
