Nesco Resource is proud to partner with a well-established engineering firm in Houston that specializes in custom-designed pressure vessels, structural components, and complex piping systems. We are currently seeking a Mechanical/Structural Designer to join their team and play a key role in the development of high-quality technical drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and enjoys collaborating with both internal teams and customers to bring designs to life. Position Highlights: Produce precise 2D and 3D technical drawings for mechanical systems, including pressure vessels, supports, and piping layouts. Utilize software tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Vault to create and manage design documentation. Support the entire project lifecycle—from initial order through to fabrication and delivery. Mentor junior drafting personnel, review peer designs, and contribute to design accuracy and efficiency. Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, AISC, OSHA) and incorporate all necessary fabrication details, such as weld symbols and material specs. Participate in internal design reviews and customer discussions, offering both technical insight and creative solutions. Help drive process improvements and support on-time delivery of all project milestones.
