Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide
effective service, maintenance and repair to machines, equipment
and facilities. Answer service or trouble calls; determine and
trace cause of malfunctions or improper operation. Disassemble
various presses, shears, winders, cutters and other shop machines
and equipment. Repair or replace worn or defective parts of
components. Assistance from higher-grade maintenance may be
required in some circumstances. Perform a minor range of electrical
and/or mechanical repairs and installations on plant equipment, and
facilities. Perform a minor range of carpentry, millwright,
painting, plumbing and other maintenance duties necessary to
maintain plant, buildings and grounds. Perform standardized
operations to oil, grease and otherwise lubricate various machines
and specified equipment. Extensive PLC troubleshooting and
installation experience necessary. Perform work involving a limited
range of maintenance operations requiring skill and a specific
knowledge of electricity and a general knowledge of mechanical
principles to include the repair and servicing of various types of
equipment and mechanisms in the plant. Utilize welding skills for
repairs and fabrication of parts. Restore equipment. Assist in
building machines. Detect and report to supervisor defective
material, faulty major equipment operations and unusual conditions.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow safety regulations. Perform other related duties assigned by
Supervisor. The above description covers the most significant
duties performed but does not exclude other occasional work
assignments not mentioned. The inclusion of which would be in
conformity with the factor degrees assigned to this job. EDUCATION
AND/OR EXPERIENCE One year certificate from college or technical
school; or three to five years of related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine work orders and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of
the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability
to apply concepts of basic geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to
solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS AND
ABILITIES The requirements below are representative of the
knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Welding and
Electrician skills. • Able to safely operate CNC 3 axis mills,
manual lathes and surface grinders. • Knowledge of hydraulics,
pneumatics, wiring codes, motor controllers, motors, bearings, ball
screws and nuts, all types of rotary and linear encoders,
resistance welders and stenciling and punch presses. • Operate a
variety of hand and power tools. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES,
REGISTRATIONS None required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS None required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands are representative of those
that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the

employee is frequently required to stand, sit, reach with hands and
arms, climb or balance, use hands and fingers to handle or feel

perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This job occasionally
requires to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift
up to 25 pounds. Ability to use proper lifting techniques to assist
with lifting over 50 pounds. Use and operate dollies and carts for
lifting/moving heavy items. WORK ENVIRONMENT This job is performed
in a covered warehouse setting, subject to exposure of outdoor
temperature conditions. Working near moving mechanical parts.
Exposure to some fumes or airborne particles. Moderate noise from
machinery, light traffic, and warehouse personnel. Must use
Personal Protection Equipment as required by job or department.
