Structural Designer - Revit Houston, TX 77024 Potential for
conversion for the right candidate Summary We are seeking a
Structural Designer to support nuclear projects. This role offers
the opportunity to contribute to complex design projects in a
highly specialized field, with the potential for a long-term
conversion based on performance and fit. Responsibilities Design &
Engineering: Serve as a senior lead technician, modifying or
creating complex design deliverables using Revit, Bluebeam, and
engineering principles. Perform design calculations, material
takeoffs, and cost estimates. Use advanced modeling and design
software; review and assign work; maintain schedules. Standards &
Quality: Apply engineering standards, codes, and document control
procedures. Ensure design consistency and compliance with
project-specific requirements. Promote quality and manage drawing
control and historical records. Technical Leadership: Provide
guidance to other professionals and handle complex assignments
independently. Support control system programming or plant start-up
activities, as needed. Coordination & Communication: Coordinate
with design teams and support field activities. Communicate design
requirements, schedules, and progress effectively. Client Focus:
Identify and communicate client goals and develop strategies to
meet them. Innovation & Knowledge Sharing: Help develop design
standards and process improvements. Identify team training needs
and contribute technical expertise. People Management: Support
performance reviews, mentorship, recognition, and professional
development.
