Goodyear Chemical—is undergoing a major transformation. As a newly
independent, Private Equity–backed organization, we are modernizing
our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES,
cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for
continued growth. We are seeking a Raw Materials Category Manager
to lead sourcing, supplier management, and raw material procurement
strategies that ensure quality, cost effectiveness, and security of
supply. What You’ll Do Work Onsite at our Houston office with some
travel to the Beaumont TX office. Lead sourcing initiatives, RFQs,
bid evaluations, and contract negotiations Secure favorable
commercial terms and mitigate risk through strong contract
management Ensure compliance with Delegation of Authority, internal
controls, and SAP P2P processes Identify value?creation
opportunities and collaborate with cross?functional teams to
execute them Develop and maintain supplier performance evaluations
and improvement processes Monitor KPIs to identify cost?saving
opportunities and maintain service and quality levels Develop
risk?mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain continuity Ensure
adherence to trade regulations, ethical sourcing standards, and
industry requirements Partner with finance, operations, and
engineering to align sourcing strategies Build cost models, spend
reports, and total cost of ownership analyses Deliver measurable
financial savings with clear P&L impact Maintain depth in
market intelligence, supplier trends, and forecasting Collaborate
closely with supply chain, commercial, and plant teams What You
Bring Required 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in
sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management 1 years'
experience in sourcing chemicals across diverse packaging formats,
transportation modes, and international supply regions. Bachelor’s
degree in engineering, chemistry, supply chain, or a related field
Preferred Background in chemical and polymer operations, including
safety requirements Knowledge of chemical manufacturers and
distributors SAP Purchase?to?Pay (P2P) experience Demonstrated
success in supplier negotiations, Contract review and markup,
contract management, and cost analysis MBA degree Our Ideal
Candidate Strong leadership and team development skills.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance service and
operational efficiency. Excellent problem-solving and root cause
analysis capability. Strong communication and stakeholder
management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a
dynamic environment. Proficiency in SAP or other ERP system, Excel,
and supply chain systems. Data-driven decision-making capability.
