person in this role will be responsible for the following:
Demonstrate fact-based critical thinking, problem solving, and
analysis to optimize KPIs Perform inventory optimization analysis
based on consumption, forecasts, and other key factors Performing
advanced analytics in Excel, MS Power-BI or similar software to
drive business decisions Work with Category Leaders to support
cost-out initiatives across HMH product lines Perform analysis and
present insights in support of business case scenarios that drive
HMH strategy Support contract negotiations with suppliers to
support HMH strategy Effective collaboration at all levels within
the company and with suppliers Build strong relationships with
internal stakeholders (Engineering, Manufacturing, Product
Managers, etc.) and cross-functional team members (Finance, AP, IT,
etc.) Promote personal accountability for Health, Safety, Security,
and Environment (HSSE) and adhering to the principles and
guidelines outlined in HMH's HSSE governing policy Performs other
related duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and level of
the role, to meet evolving business needs. Willing and able to
travel domestic or internationally as needed, up to 30% per annum
Solves complex problems Works independently; receives minimal
guidance May lead projects or project steps within a broader
project or may have accountability for ongoing activities or
objectives Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource
requirements Takes a new perspective on existing solutions;
exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of
information Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or
service activities within own team and other related teams; works
within broad guidelines and policies Promote personal
accountability for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE)
by adhering to the principles and guidelines outlined in HMH's HSSE
governing policy Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an
accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED
with at least 7 years of relevant experience) Minimum 3 years of
relevant professional level experience In-depth conceptual and
practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of
related job disciplines. Knowledge of best practices and how own
area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the
factors that differentiate them in the market. Ability to explain
difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business
Administration Experience in drilling related oil and gas
manufacturing, maritime, industrial manufacturing, or automotive
industry required Experience working in or with an ERP governed
business environment (SAP, Oracle, etc.) International supplier
management experience Management Consulting (Big Four or Business
Strategy Firm) Additional Information: Must be legally authorized
to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer
