Job Description:

OVERVIEW The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful, timely, and cost-effective execution of Microtunneling and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) projects. This role requires direct involvement in field operations, documentation, coordination with subcontractors, and adherence to safety and quality standards across multi-state job sites. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Willingness and ability to travel across multiple states and remain on-site for extended periods, including overnight stays Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline Up to 4 years of experience in heavy civil construction or a comparable combination of education and practical experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact across various organizational levels PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting software Experience in developing submittals, RFIs, and managing project documentation Background in coordinating with inspectors and external representatives LOCATION: Texas COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS $150k base salary Travel accommodations provided for remote site work Comprehensive benefits offerings (medical, dental, etc.) Opportunities for professional development and career growth
