InfrastructureThe role of Sales Engineer offers you the opportunity
to serve as a subject matter expert supporting the sale of new
natural gas fueling stations throughout the central and eastern
U.S. You will enjoy all the fun aspects of sales -- collaborating
with a variety of stakeholders, working on interesting projects,
helping solve technical issues, visiting sites, etc. -- while
others close the deal and finalize the paperwork. Consider a few

- Partner with Sales and leverage your technical expertise,
including project parameters, equipment and build knowledge, to
support the sale and influence decision makers.
- Join a talented and collaborative Sales and Engineering group
where you'll work on a variety of interesting projects.
- Support a wide territory that stretches from the East Coast to
Denver and south to Texas, while enjoying reasonable travel.
Depending upon the location of your home office, a good deal of
your fieldwork will be day trips, with overnights being just 20-30
- While this role could keep you challenged and happy for years
to come, once you prove yourself and make your mark as a Sales
Engineer, you could pursue a variety of advancement opportunities
in sales or engineering.
- You can feel good knowing that your efforts are helping build
America's natural gas infrastructure, reducing dependence on oil,
and expanding the demand for alternative fuels. You'll work out of
your home office, ideally located near a major airport. While you
could live anywhere in your territory, travel could be higher from
Midwest states. Prime locations include Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas
City, the Eastern Seaboard and the Southeast.To meet the basic
requirements for this role you must be legally authorized to work
permanently in the U.S. without requiring a visa transfer or visa
sponsorship. To be a good fit for the opportunity of Sales
Engineer, you will have:
- A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering,
Industrial Technology, or Construction Technology.
- Significant experience (typically 3-7 years) selling and/or
providing technical / engineering sales support, ideally with heavy
industrial equipment and applications (e.g. gas compressors --
natural gas, air, nitrogen, helium, etc., pneumatics, pumps,
filters, storage tanks, etc.); experience selling and/or supporting
capital equipment is preferred. [[Question: 568580]]
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with aspects of
mechanical, civil and electrical engineering.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to support the RFP process by reading and understanding
technical specifications and developing technical write-ups for
