A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI)
practice, with offices throughout the US, focuses on serving upper
middle market and large cap private equity firms who have engaged
A&M to help improve operating results at their portfolio
companies. The companies we serve are upper middle market in the
$50 million to over $1 billion plus range.

Private Equity Focused Professionals
We bring a structured and disciplined approach to create and
capture value. We provide private equity buyers with a broad
continuum of knowledge and tools for mergers, acquisitions,
carve-outs, joint ventures and alliances.
A&M's Pre-Acquisition Operations professionals assist our
clients in analyzing functional and departmental processes,
including manufacturing operations, supply chain and distribution
channels, procurement and supply chain, SG&A operations, IT and
sales force effectiveness. From our thorough fact-based analysis,
we assess state of operations, identify key risks to investment and
quantify potential EBITDA improvement plans for the buyer.
The PEPI Pre-Acquisition Operations group is a growing business
targeting high growth in the next two to four years. We offer

skills. The leadership team is focused on providing development
opportunities, training and exposure to international business
- Work on a diverse range of complex assignments alongside other
experienced management professionals in the area of pre-acquisition
operations to assist clients in analyzing functional and
departmental processes including manufacturing operations, supply
chain and distribution channels, procurement and supply chain,
SG&A operations, IT and sales force effectiveness.
- Develop detailed financial and operational analysis and
recommend and implement strategies, assist management with
implementation of cost reduction initiatives, and facilitate
recommendations for the negotiation of complex business
- Gain comprehensive understanding of a target's business
operations and its risks including the cost base and on-going CapEx
- Identify performance gaps and potential improvement
- Assess potential carve-out issues and associated one time and
- Identify potential risk and/or synergies.
- Provide insights on key deal issues including quantifying key
opportunities and risks.
- Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and
effectively manage engagement team and client relationships to
ensure exceptional performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting,
Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Minimum five years of consulting experience specializing in
strategy or operational roles related to business transformation
and change management.
- Must have experience working with M&A and
Divestures/Carve-Outs including pre-deal operations; IT due
diligence; integration & separation planning; synergy and costs
savings analysis; and post-close transformation.
- Experience providing private equity advisory; operations and
financial analysis, SG&A assessment; procurement and supply
chain review; manufacturing operations evaluation; business process
mapping; and performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of
- Must have demonstrated track record working with C-suite
executives as well as private equity deal and operating partners to
identify client needs.
- Significant travel required. Destination and frequency
