Job Description:

LinQuest is seeking an experienced leader to join our Business Development Team in Colorado Springs.We have mature processes, an outstanding proposal staff, and a robust pipeline and are seeking a motivated and experienced professional with the ability to expand our capabilities and presence across the United States Space Force. This candidate should be a self-starter with a strong track record of success in space operations, requirements development, and systems acquisition. This position will report to the LinQuest VP for Business Development and will be responsible for expanding our customer pipeline of new business from identification to shaping through capture and proposal. Primary office location in Colorado Springs, CO.Responsibilities:* Responsible for all aspects of business development, to include establishing leads/contacts within USSF customer communities in Colorado Springs, Los Angeles, Albuquerque, and the National Capital Region and identifying and acquiring new business within those markets.* Leads efforts to identify, qualify, pursue, and capture government contracts through client relationships, bid strategies, productive teaming, and effective proposal development.* Leads and/or supports capture management activities for specific identified opportunities, including developing overall capture/win strategy and associated budget.* Interfaces with LinQuest technical, program management, contracts, finance, and proposal personnel in preparation of technical and pricing strategies in support of proposals.* Develops and provides company awareness/capabilities briefings, attends opportunity Industry Days and participates in customer one-on-one meetings, and provides information for bid/no bid decision making.* Ensure opportunity information is accurately and completely represented in the LinQuest BD Database.* Support company growth strategy development and execution.* Follow and improve upon LinQuest BD processes and tools.Required Skills:* Understanding of the new business pursuit lifecycle, with emphasis on market analysis, customer and opportunity identification and qualification, and opportunity shaping, in advance and support of capture strategy, win strategy, and proposal development.* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.* Ability to create and sustain excellent long-term customer relationships.* Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.* Ability to qualify and mature opportunities throughout the pursuit lifecycle, gather information, meet gateway requirements, and brief senior leadership.* Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams in a high operations tempo environment.Preferred Skills:* Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations.* Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tools and databases, specifically SalesForce.* Capture and proposal development training (e.g., Shipley) a plus.Required Experience:* Bachelor Degree is required.* Minimum of 15 years of demonstrated leadership experience in space systems acquisition and/or operations.* Experience with and existing relationships in USSF and former AFSPC organizations.* Understands and can articulate issues and challenges in the National Security Space community.* Must be US citizen with minimum of Top Secret Clearance, with SCI eligibility to be considered for this positionPreferred Experience:* Prior military experience with emphasis on Space Domain.* Demonstrated leadership and proven ability to mentor and train junior team members.Licenses & CertificationsRequired* TS/SCIEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
