Experienced - Solar Project Manager (Utility Scale Solar Farm)Title: Solar Project ManagerCompany: TexEx Energy Operating, LLCReports to: Vice President of Engineering and Project DevelopmentFLSA Status: ExemptMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in delivering on large scale utility energy development projects* Must thoroughly understand all aspects of the solar project lifecycle and have prior specific work experience with solar project construction or management from the ground up developing a Solar Farm* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related discipline* Experience in contract negotiations, legal knowledge and background associated with successful contract management* Demonstrate successful project financial management experience* Experience originating your own projects* Creative and flexible* Entrepreneurial spirit* Team player with strong communication skills* Must be able to prioritize own workload and be a self-motivatorJOB SUMMARYTexEx Energy Operating, LLC is looking for an experienced individual to come on board to lead our development of solar assets and potentially other renewable energy projects as we see fit. This role will manage the development of Utility Scale Solar Farm(s) from the ground up. Core roles and responsibilities will include identifying the right partners for project success, overseeing all aspects of development, including budget, timeline, contractors, and commissioning. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering and Project Development, the Project Manager is responsible for managing solar projects throughout the entire project life cycle from Origination through to Construction and handover to operations. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Responsible for developing Utility and/or Commercial scale solar projects (Solar Farm)* Be a part of the management team that is actively looking for renewable energy projects, utilizing an entrepreneur spirit to think creatively* Accountable for budgeting and finances, project timing and planning, risks assessment and management* Bidding, evaluation, and selection of Engineering and Construction Contractors.* Development of deliverables with Engineering and Construction Contractors and finalization of scope of work and timelines* Coordination with Engineering and Construction Contractors and handover oversight to operations* Coordination with external stakeholders such as contractors, landowners, permit agencies and utilities* Act to ensure key project inputs including environmental, regulatory and governmental relations, public relations and landowner concerns are appropriately addressed on projects* Help identify and forecast future renewable energy projects * Develop strategic relationships with all project partners including utilities, landowners, permitting authorities* Direct and manage the entire process of the project, from beginning to endDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
