Senior Manager, Training and Development Houston,TX SUMMARY OF
POSITION: The Senior Manager of Training and Development will
deliver strategic development to craft level and field employees to
address complex, ever-changing internal client demands. To achieve
this, the Senior Manager, Training and Development will define and
implement a comprehensive strategy to assess organizational
development needs and implement business and safety focused
initiatives. This role will be instrumental in leading a learning
transformation to include a multi-pronged approach to learning and
development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the
following: Create and maintain a learning culture across divisions
by cultivating relationships with executives in the organization
Develop craft labor and safety learning solutions that address root
cause issues to drive improved business performance Partner with
business/functional leaders to establish short and long-term
objectives to link potential training and development opportunities
with strategic business goals and objectives. Oversee the
development and coordination of systems for measuring training
effectiveness. Oversee the selection of appropriate vendor
relationships. Create engaging learning content and activities for
a diverse set of roles that range in career level and track (hourly
to professional, individual contributor to manager) Develop project
plans that account for work performance, critical deadlines and
required resources Use various adult learning methods, techniques,
and delivery modes to drive enhanced learning and ongoing
sustainment Manage projects and develop content as needed
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must
be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The

essential functions. Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Human Resources or
related field. 10+ years related experience with at least 5 years
in a Training & Development role. Demonstrated understanding and
application of adult learning theory and multiple delivery methods
Experience in: Working in a highly matrixed organization required.
Leading a training team in a highly dispersed organization
Transforming a training function from primarily ILT to a blended
model Creating and implementing innovative learning solutions in a
cost effective, efficient way Preferred Education and/or
Experience: Experience with Project Management and Lean Six Sigma
NCCER certification Experience with Virtual Reality and Artificial
Intelligence Understanding of Systems Thinking and application KEY
SKILLS: Ability to influence all levels of leadership Strong
coaching and mentoring approach Ability to communicate effectively
in a multicultural, multinational environment and mobilize
cross-functional high-performance teams Change leader and resilient
Superior problem-solving ability Ability to analyze qualitative
data Exceptional analytical, statistical, quantitative, and
deduction skills Excellent planning, time management and decision-
making skills with the ability to self-manage numerous projects
