Job Description:

Purpose:
The Business Development Director directs the business development activities of the organization and drives the new sales business for the company playing a key role in the company's bottom line.
Business to business (B2B) Service implementation for corporate and merchant customers, with the highest quality, responsibility and professionalism

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement a B2B Global Payments strategy
  • Identify and implement the appropriate and reliable technology solutions for B2B global payments market
  • Analyzing opportunities for growth via alliances, acquisitions or joint ventures in the Global B2B Market
  • Interpreting B2B market trends and adapting to industry changes
  • Implementing strategies to drive revenue and ultimately business growth
  • Implementing sales strategies and ensuring departments follow industry best practice.
  • Making strategic and commercial recommendations to the EVP
  • Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational Marketing and Customer Relationship activities
  • Take ownership of the management of the sales and marketing functions of the business
  • Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new channels on B2B industry
  • Carrying out regular SWOT analysis to mitigate any potential risks through industry and market changes
  • Speaking at events and exhibitions on behalf of the company
  • Working closely with the EVP and President on sales strategy and approach to winning new business
  • Working closely with the President and BDM to land large accounts
  • Reporting results to the EVP and President on a weekly and monthly basis
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PROBLEM SOLVING
    Knowledge of:
    • 3 to 5 years of sales experience in similar position
    • Experience in working with senior management to align sales strategies and solutions
    • Must have experience of working in a fintech corporate/business focused environment
    • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
    • Strong understanding of planning and execution of a marketing program
    • This person must be responsible, honest and bilingual (English/Spanish)
      Education:
      Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or applicable major field of study or equivalent required

      Skills demonstrated:
      • Natural leader with excellent managerial and motivational skills
      • Strong entrepreneurial skills and a natural ability to spot opportunities for revenue generation
      • Must have exceptional verbal and written bilingual (English / Spanish) communication skills
      • Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
        ACCOUNTABILITY:
        • Accountable to develop and implement a B2B Global Payments strategy within the first 4-6 after starting in his position. Identifying and implementing the right technology solutions for B2B global payments
        • Accountable for implementing strategies to drive revenue and ultimately business growth included in the budget
        • Accountable for analyzing the Global B2B Market, identifying opportunities for growth via alliances, acquisitions or joint ventures and provide recommendations to the EVP
        • Accountable for complying with the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Know Your Customer, Suspicious Activities, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control policies and procedures
