If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want a career, not a job, we might be made for each other.We have a remote full-time position for a Business Development Manager based in the United States - ideally based in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas or Denver. The Business Development Manager reports to the Manager, Market Growth and is a key contributor in expanding LodgeLink's presence in the US market, focusing on the South Western U.S. territory. As a trailblazer, the Business Development Manager will build and manage relationships with new customers and play a key role in developing commercial strategies for the assigned market. They will be expected to meet established sales targets to increase market share for LodgeLink.The ideal candidate will have proven experience in selling accommodations (hotels, camps, and/or lodges) and/or travel to the corporate market or as software as a service. They should be driven and passionate, with the ability to learn and demonstrate the value of the LodgeLink.com technology to our customers.The industries we serve include Oil & Gas/Energy, Telecom, Rail, Mining, Construction, Emergency Response, Disaster Recovery, Forestry, Government/Education, and Transportation, among others.Duties and Responsibilities: New Sales Generation

  • Proactively seek and solicit new business opportunities to grow the LodgeLink platform;
  • Proactively research leads and conduct discovery calls to identify customer pain points and assess size of opportunities and likelihood of success;
  • Work with Customer Success and Marketing team members to tailor presentations towards needs of potential customers;
  • Conduct cold calls and initial introductory calls independently;
    • Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations either independently or in collaboration with Customer Success member of your team (internal product experts);
    • Document all leads and opportunities in SalesForce;
    • Participate in events such as seminars, trade shows and other marketing events.Account Management
      • Develop and retain strong relationships with clients within assigned accounts, as determined through the Sales Commission Plan;
      • Follow-up with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and increase share of their travel spend and/or re-engage accounts that have gone dormant;
      • Keep abreast of industry trends, and product development requests from current/prospective customers and report back to the team;
      • Communicate any unique customer requests with members of account management team (Customer Success, Customer Service and Billing Administration);
      • Follow-up on collection of payments with client base, as required;
      • Travel as required;
      • Other duties, initiatives and projects as may be assigned from time to time.Qualifications:
        • 3-5 years sales and/or business development experience;
        • Passionate and results focused with the ability to work in a growing and dynamic environment;
        • Demonstrated experience in new customer acquisition is required;
        • Ability to learn and become a technology expert (LodgeLink.com) and demonstrate LodgeLink.com's powerful online solutions to fulfill corporate accommodations needs and add value to prospective customers;
        • Proven ability to quickly build rapport and develop long-term productive relationships;
        • Excellent listening and discovery skills combined with strong communication skills and ability to overcome objections;
        • Experience in workforce accommodation, hospitality, or business travel is an asset;
        • Experience in software or technology sales is an asset;
        • Time management and planning skills;
