SUMMARY: The Sr. National Sales Manager is a virtual position that will lead sales functions in North America in order to achieve desired growth of the BIOPOLYMERS business and maximize company revenue and profitability. This position is responsible for opening and developing new accounts, sales strategies, identifying sales opportunities, as well as maintaining account relationships. Sr. National Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing and evaluating sales activity and potentially managing other Sales personnel.Essential Responsibilities Include:Responsible for large account customers in the BIOPOLYMERS divisionResponsible for supporting business development with new customers and leading business expansion activities at current customers.Responsible for building relationships (vertical and horizontal) throughout customer's organizations.Manages sales activitiesIdentify new customers and sales opportunities and initiates action plan(s) to approach and secure new business for the company.Develop account sales strategy options, manage call rotation and execution.Responsible for monthly report(s), defining activities for previous, current, and upcoming months.Responsible for maximizing both company revenue and profitability.Responsible for sales forecasting (monthly, quarterly, yearly, or longer).Responsible for expansion of BIOPOLYMERS colleague's relationships with customer contacts at the Executive, Marketing, Technical and Purchasing functions.Act as liaison with other departments, on an as needed basis, to address business and customer needs.As directed by management, manage brokers, agents, distributors or other middlemen and related activities.Assist Marketing/Business Development functions in the development of programs for customers.As directed by management, plan and execute participation at trade-shows and other industry events.Support ongoing monitoring and collection of outstanding accounts receivables.Research market segments and potential customers.This position is responsible for development / maintenance and reporting all relevant sales metrics as well as ongoing market conditions.IDEAL CANDIDATE will possess the following:10+ years of Successfully conducted business and built relationships with key brand-holders in the Consumer Products or Quick Service Food industries.1 - 2 years of Supervisor or Manager experience of direct reports1 - 3 years of opening new business accounts2 - 5 years Thermoplastics/Packaging Industries (PREFERRED)Bachelors in Business Administration or related fieldJob Type: Full-timePay: $120,000.00 - $175,000.00 per yearPay may depend on skills and/or qualificationsExperience:Thermoplastics / Packaging Industry: 2 years (Preferred)Consumer Products or Food Industry sales: 10 years (Required)New account development: 3 years (Required)Supervisor or Manager: 1 year (Required)Education:Bachelor's (Required)Required travel:50% (Required)Additional Compensation:BonusesOther formsWork Location:Fully RemoteOn the roadBenefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceRetirement planPaid time offManagement:Key Leader
