Responsibilities With a focus on providing our clients financial management consulting services, you will work on projects with responsibilities such as: - Identifying current state documentation, benchmarking analysis, business case & roadmap development including functional process modeling, governance structure & reporting design, organizational structure & service delivery design - Supporting comprehensive finance & accounting transformation engagements, from visioning and target operating model development through future state validation, deployment, and evolution - Reviewing internal controls & other financial safeguards and providing recommendations to strengthen the control environment of clients to help advance transparency, relevance, and quality of financial information - Assisting with the assessment of compliance with federal/state regulations or with internal protocols; developing policies and procedures and recommending methods to implement new business practices; preventing fraud, waste and abuse; increasing program integrity; and assessing high-risk areas and recommending next steps for mitigationIn addition to providing value-add services to our clients, you will also be involved with: - Assisting in special projects, including strategic growth initiatives, business development, thought leadership creation, training development and delivery, and engagement and practice administration activities QualificationsRequired:

  • 3+ years of experience in management consulting, public accounting, banking or relevant equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; advanced degree and CPA (or other relevant financial certification) is strongly preferred
  • Experience in key finance & accounting processes including general accounting, financial planning & analysis, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets and capital projects, treasury and cash management, and/or financial reporting
  • Basic understanding of state and local government; associated laws, rules, and regulations; and the fields of regulatory and compliance risk management preferred (or demonstrated desire to learn)
  • Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking and research skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio; experience and/or general understanding of data analysis platforms and techniques preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
