Job Description:

We are searching for a Coordination Risk Manager - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this role, you will assist leaders with administrative duties and coordination of activities for the department. You will also maintain confidential litigation files, claims files, insurance policies, and other relevant data pertaining to all the functions and responsibilities contained within the Risk Management, Safety and Emergency Management Departments. Coordinate Risk Management, Safety, and Emergency Management financial activities for Director. This role also communicates regularly with international and domestic insurance partners, outside counsel, board members, executive leadership, and patients' families related to the Director's responsibilities.

  • Assists with administrative duties and coordination of activities
  • Performs diversified administrative functions, assesses priorities, anticipates required action and recommendations, and advises leader in an appropriate or timely manner
  • Manages meeting arrangements for leader and department by contacting attendees, securing location, equipment, and hospitality requirements
  • Assures that departmental mail is gathered and distributed. Opens and prioritizes mail, maintaining and updating leadership as needed
  • Facilitates travel arrangements as needed including processing registrations for meetings, conferences, and seminars, coordinating and confirming lodging and airline reservations and ground transportation, preparing itinerary, and expense reports, as needed
  • Types, proofreads, edits, and prepares correspondence according to graphic standards consistently prior to deadline established by supervisor with no less than 90% accuracy as observed by supervisor
  • Prepares purchase documents, requisitions, and accounts receivables for departmental purchases within two business days
  • Maintains files of outgoing correspondence created and incoming correspondence received from individuals and organizations
  • Maintains database of records/files archived to Records Management. Coordinates and retrieves archived files as requestedQualifications
    • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
    • 5 years office administrative experience required
