You will be tasked with developing relationships to grow our business. Success is measured by meeting sales and resource development objectives while exceeding customer requirements and expectations. You will be working closely with Technical Account Managers, Automation Consultants, and Project Engineers as you grow and apply your skills, knowledge, and abilities.The Essentials

  • Responsible for building, developing, and retaining customers necessary to drive a high-performance sales team, along with ensuring succession for accounts.
  • Acknowledge & process customer's Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO)
  • Establish and manage customer requirements, including quote follow-ups and pro-expedite purchase orders.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities, analyzes account sales data, and promote sales.
  • Communicate with Technical Account Mangers and Project Engineers to establish profit, inventory suggestions, and pricing requirements for key accounts.
  • Review work processes to ensure that internal and external quality standards are followed and suggest improvements.
  • Examines ways to offer practical, creative alternatives that increase AWC's chances of successfully closing orders at higher margins.What You'll Bring to the Table
    • Approach work with curiosity and a critical thinking mindset to identify opportunities and risks.
    • Organize, plan and act. You will schedule and prepare a scope of work supporting customer satisfaction and promoting our passion to serve.
    • Advise the customer through selection and recommending products and solutions to customers based on the customers' application details.
    • You will work with Technical Account Managers to offer the best solutions for our customers' needs.
    • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.Required Qualifications
      • 4-year bachelor's degree / Preferred in an Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline such as: Electronic Systems Engineering Technology, Manufacturer & Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
      • Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office 365
      • Ability to learn and utilize inventory management and sales systems
      • Must be a team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
      • Sense of urgency, high energy with high accountability
      • Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written via phone, e-mail, etc.)
        Self-motivated to work from home
        Be available and responsive immediately when needed
        Willingness to be on call for after-hours & weekend support periodically.
        Bonus Qualifications
      • Base level knowledge of Electrical and Automation products, including but not limited to PLC's, IO's, Safety Devices, Enclosures, Motor Starters, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatics, Sensors, Panelboards, etc.
      • Basic understanding of electricity, control panel design/wiring, manufacturing/OEM experience.
