We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.Candidate must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.**Job Responsibilities**Air Liquide Large Industries U.S. LP seeks a Chemical Marketing Manager, Americas to work in Houston, Texas to:Work with the evolution of the main end use markets for companies, and their key industrial gas consuming processes, is critical for the successful development of new investment opportunities. Utilize familiarity with the evolution of pricing trends and competitor/consumer pricing strategies for the proper positioning of customer offers within the petrochemical market. Present those offers in a professional way. Analyze competitors and their strategies to defend and grow business. Monitor key investment and production trends in the relevant industrial domain. Maintain a thorough understanding of key drivers for demand growth, end use market segmentation and report on a regular frequency of any trends that may pose opportunities and risks for the group, including gas consumption trends and intensity of use. Provide appropriate analysis of each potential investment opportunity to achieve our objectives for new signatures and sales growth, including likelihood for the customer to proceed with investment, the appropriateness of the gas supply solution, the competitiveness of the site and companys chances of success. Apply understanding of global balances, cost curves (including competitors), regional complexities and appropriate economic analysis. Provide appropriate market input to the development of the group's standard gas production solutions including required capacities, purities and efficiencies. Work with specific strategic studies, marketing papers, and presentations on the evolution of markets and offer. Maintain a database of competitive pricing information/trends for new and existing business held by the competition. Use this information to allow correct positioning of pricing proposals in customer offers. Develop marketing contacts within our customers organizations to promote companys added value and understand their business drivers (technologies, markets, projects). Participate in petrochemical market industry events for the purposes of networking and collecting information on industry trends. Make sure this information is reflected in all reports and marketing tools provided to the field and senior management. Provide relevant training to the company's business development and management staff. Work with the business development community especially at the early stages of projects to understand the customer, project and need.**Requirements**+ EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Chemical Engineering.+ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years of relevant marketing experience in the chemical industry domain with focus on industrial gas supply, petrochemical domain, chemical/process engineering.+ TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% domestic travel.PLEASE NOTE: Air Liquide Large Industries U.S. LP will not accept resumes from third party vendors.
