The Program, Planning, and Control (PP&C) Office provides
Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) planning and
control services for the NASA Extravehicular Activity and Human
Surface Mobility Program (EHP).
This position is on-site in Houston, TX.
What You'll Be Doing
* Provide expertise in the planning, coordination, execution, and
audit/verification of CM/DM processes.
* Perform identification, problem solving and resolution of CM/DM
issues across EHP.
* Receive and process Change Requests (CRs) and Management
Directives (MDs), and coordinate change package management: Work
with Change Package Engineer (CPE) and external stakeholders,
integrate comments, prepare change packages for approval, and
ensure implementation and verification of EHP directives. This
involves working multiple documents in parallel.
* Provide CM support for EHP Control Boards to guide in the
execution of CM/DM, ensure accurate recording of decisions, and
present CM status reports regularly.
* Support cross-program stakeholder integration and assist
stakeholders with use of CM tools and processes.
* Develop Integration plans to link processes, milestones, forums,
and action item management.
* Perform technical Document Quality Assurance (DQA).
* Ensure all CM/DM data and records are accurate and timely
archived via the EHP systems.
What You Need to be Successful
Associate Member of Technical Staff
Minimum Requirements:
* 2 years of CM experience, preferably with NASA programs
* Knowledge of CM/DM standards and principles
* Experience with editing, formatting, and other document
management functions in Microsoft Word
* Ability to work within a team environment, where the team is
distributed across multiple NASA Organizations, Projects, and
Programs
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Travel is not required.
* An Aerospace corporate requirement, as a security clearance is
not required for this position
Member of Technical Staff
* 5 years of CM Experience, preferably with NASA programs
* Same requirements as listed above
