growth programs that depend on new eCommerce capabilities in Shop -
Sysco's eCommerce platform.This role will support business leaders
in driving growth that depends on the development of enduring
eCommerce capabilities. These capabilities could range from
eMerchandising, digital marketing and channel optimization,
operational enhancements, personalization, foundational eCommerce
data enablers, and many more.The Sr. Manager, eCommerce Business
Program Management will collaborate with Sysco's Shop product team
and business leaders from across the enterprise to deliver new
eCommerce capabilities to support growth initiatives. This role
will provide input into management of the eCommerce roadmap and
accompanying prioritization decisions based on the highest business
impact, which at times may require supporting business leaders with
quantifying business value and associated investment.The role will
have three specific areas of focus:eCommerce Program Roadmap and
Prioritization: the Sr. Manager will manage new demand ingestion
for eCommerce program requests and the related prioritization using
business cases and an ROI-driven approach. At times, this will
involve supporting business leaders with quantifying business value
and/or building business cases to support prioritization decisions.
The Sr. Manager will also partner with the Shop product team and
business leads to look across programs enabled through Shop to
ensure coordination and a seamless experience. As needed, the Sr.
Manager will work with business leads to help define desired
business outcomes and associated business requirements, while
partnering with the Shop product team and business leads to
breakdown business requirements and associated solutions into
phases with specific testing criteria. This role will support
business leads throughout discovery, design, and engineering of
product solutions to ensure the timing of new eCommerce
capabilities correspond to program milestones. The Sr. Manager will
also partner with the Shop analytics team to build testing
strategies that test end-to-end program performance and account for
how growth programs will work together. Finally, the Sr. Manager
will collaborate with the solution architecture, Shop product, and
engineering teams to build playbooks for new eCommerce capability
rollouts across geographies / lines of business.Data enablers:
Sysco continues to invest in enhancing data enablers to deliver an
exceptional eCommerce experience on Shop. This role will partner
with One Sysco Data, Merchandising, Business Technology, and other
functions to incubate and stand up new programmatic data
capabilities to support growth programs driven through
eCommerce.eMerchandising capabilities: in strong partnership with
the Shop product team, eMerchandising team, and a broader set of
cross-functional stakeholders, this role will help incubate and
stand up new eMerchandising capabilities in Shop to enhance the
shopping experience.Success in this role will require close
partnership with business leads, Sysco's Shop product team, and
Business Technology Project Managers. The impact of this role will
be far reaching given the scale of Sysco's eCommerce platform -
Shop - and will provide significant opportunity to collaborate
cross-functionally. Therefore, being able to navigate a complex,
matrixed organization and collaborate with a broad cross section of
stakeholders will be fundamental to success.Duties and
Responsibilities
- Manage ingestion and prioritization of all new program demand
dependent on new eCommerce capabilities. Prioritize based on
ROI/business cases. Provide analytic support to business leads, as
needed, to build business cases, including quantification of
business value and investment needed to deliver programs enabled
through new eCommerce capabilities in Shop. Provide input to
roadmap prioritization and play a role, in strong collaboration
with the Shop product team, in setting eCommerce roadmap
prioritization.
- Support business leads, as needed, with communicating key
elements of growth programs tied to new eCommerce capabilities,
including program goals and desired outcomes, the end-to-end
customer experience, and related business requirements.
- As needed by business leads, collaborate with the Shop product
team on potential eCommerce solutions with the Shop product team
driving the solution through a product lens and the Sr. Manager,
eCommerce Business Program Management ensuring the product solution
supports broader program objectives. As needed by business leads,
partner with the Shop product team and business leads to breakdown
business requirements and the associated solution into phases with
specific testing criteria (product and program) tied to each phase.
Partner with the Shop product team and business leads to look
across programs enabled through Shop to ensure solutions are
coordinated and deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Support business leads throughout discovery, design, and
engineering, as needed. Ensure project plans from Business
Technology Project Managers align with business program milestones.
Partner with Shop product teams and Business Technology Project
Managers to ensure programs are resourced in alignment with
business cases. Monitor performance vs. plan and serve as a
resource to Business Technology Project Managers to help solve any
risks or issues that could lead to delays vs. program
milestones.
- Partner with the Shop analytics team and business leads to
build testing strategies with specific hypotheses that test
end-to-end program performance, including a plan to test, learn,
iterate, and optimize program performance over time.
- Partner with solution architecture, engineering, and Shop
product teams to build playbooks for new eCommerce capability
rollouts across geographies / lines of business.
- Partner with One Sysco Data, Merchandising, Business
Technology, and other functions to incubate and stand up new
programmatic data capabilities to support growth through eCommerce
(e.g., item images, customer master data, supplier data collection,
etc.).
- Support incubation of new eMerchandising capabilities,
including underlying data enablers. Collaborate with the Shop
product team and eMerchandising team to define eMerchandising
program goals and desired outcomes. Collaborate on potential
solutions ranging from digital merchandising, enhanced product
search and navigation, enhancement of item and customer data, and
other eCommerce capabilities tied to improving the customer's
digital shopping experience.Education Required:
- BS degree (preferably in STEM or businessEducation Preferred:
- MS/MBA preferredExperience Required:
- 10+ years of program management experience driving a portfolio
of large-scale and complex projects, particularly eCommerce or
digital in nature, at fast-paced, matrixed Fortune 500 B2B or B2C
companies.
- Experience managing demand for new eCommerce capabilities tied
to new business programs, building business cases, and driving
program prioritization through a data-driven, analytical
approach.
- Strong track record of collaboration with business stakeholders
to help define desired business outcomes and associated business
requirements, as well as partnering and iterating with product
teams as they develop product solutions throughout the discovery,
design, and engineering lifecycle.
- Track record of making trade-off decisions and problem solving
with business leads and Business Technology Project Managers to
remove blockers, mitigate risks, solve issues, and escalate as
needed to deliver planned business value enabled through
eCommerce.
- Experience communicating effectively with technical and
non-technical individuals throughout the development process from
discovery and business requirements through design and
execution.
- Track record of standing up or enhancing program management
capabilities, such as Tableau dashboards for visual
management.
- Demonstrated ability to zero in on key drivers of value tied to
complex programs and collaborate with business leads and product
analytics teams to develop program testing strategies and
hypotheses for driving program and product improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with item data,
customer master data, supplier data, and other foundational data
elements supporting an eCommerce platform.
- Demonstrated ability to stand up new, programmatic data
capabilities at scale, including the development of supportive
business processes, management of third-party vendors, and
codification and rollout of new practices through building
playbooks.
- Track record of incubating new eMerchandising capabilities in
partnership with business program leads and product
teams.Experience Preferred:
- Strong understanding of product development, including basic
technical knowledge (e.g., systems, database management,
integrations, etc.) to be able to bridge product and Business
Technology teams with business leads.
