Location: St. Joseph Medical CenterPosted Date: 2/6/2023REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:Responsible for Radiology Manager and a staff of 80 non-exempt technical, administrative support, and service personnel.JOB SUMMARY:Reports to Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for directing the activities of department personnel engaged in operating radiology equipment to obtain radiographs, transporting patients to and from Medical Imaging area, developing radiographs and the like. In doing so, provides input into development of departmental policies and procedures, ensures all activities comply with Hospital and outside regulatory agency standards, and monitors supply levels, equipment maintenance and the like. Complies with measures/activities to assure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:WORK EXPERIENCE: - Knowledge of diagnostic radiologic techniques, equipment operation and special procedures at a level normally acquired through completion of two years training at an approved School ofRadiologic Technology. - Approximately three to five years progressively more responsible related work experience necessary in order to gain technical competence in a variety of diagnostic procedures, to gain full understanding of radiologic policies, procedures and equipment maintenance in a hospital environment and to become familiar with Hospital and departmental quality assurance and quality control measures as well as Hospital and regulatory agency standards and regulations.LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: - ARRT preferred - BCLSEDUCATION & TRAINING: - Graduate from an approved/accredited School of Radiologic Technology required. - Bachelors required, Masters preferredSteward Health Care is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer, Steward Health Care does not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, and or expression or any other non-job-related characteristic.
