You Are:
Accenture is seeking a collaborative and results-oriented
Procurement Practice Manager, with expertise in the MRO
(Maintenance, Repair, Operations) category, to work with Fortune
500 clients to develop and execute sourcing strategies that support
each company's business goals while achieving optimal pricing,
quality and service levels. In this capacity, you will have
substantial involvement in supporting sales and solution design and
in helping procurement organizations expand their involvement and
control of non-traditional spend areas.
The Work:
Identify cost/productivity improvement opportunities in spending
across a wide array of leading companies
Lead sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy
development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business
case presentations and supplier contract execution
Pursue and develop senior level stakeholder relationships at
priority accounts; support account stakeholder relationship
plans
Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives, ensuring that
the sourcing team is supporting overall company direction and
growth
Mentor sourcing team and category management team on stakeholder
and project management, with a special emphasis on collaboration,
customer focus, delivery excellence, continuous improvement,
negotiations and contracting
Represent the Sourcing & Category Management team as a category
expert to current and prospective customers
Participate in the development and execution of global sourcing
strategies
Drive regional category strategy, in support of a global approach,
contributing to overall growth and delivery commitments
Grow team management skills, coaching team members in the art of
Negotiation and Contracting
Expand business development skills to identify and propose account
growth opportunities for additional sourcing services
Exceptional track record of building relationships with
stakeholders or customers that have resulted in high customer
satisfaction
Here's What You Need:
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 8 years of experience in consulting,
sourcing/procurement/supply chain management function
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Consultancy, sourcing and/or
category management experience, specifically within a Fortune 500
organization, specifically in the field of MRO procurement or
delivery from the supplier side
Bonus Points:
Ability to effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts
related to MRO Services
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a wide range of MRO
suppliers, such as Comm/Data, Electrical/Electronics, PTB, PVF,
General Industrial, Cutting Tools, Abrasives, Safety,
Pumps/Hydraulics, Material Handling, Welding, Fasteners,
Filters/HVAC, and Instrumentation
Professional Skills:
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a wide range of
suppliers
Well-developed, solution-oriented selling skills
Ability to drive transformational change
Excellent communication, organization/time management and problem
solving skills
Solid multi-phase project management skills
Strong ability to effectively manage in a matrix organizational
structure working with multiple internal clients
Ability to adapt to the varied corporate cultures and
organizational structures of our customers
Exceptional track record of building relationships with
stakeholders or customers that have resulted in high customer
satisfaction
Travel:
For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic,
is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of
factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific
office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As
required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of
compensation for roles that may be hired in Albany County, NY,
California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth
below.
