Job Summary
The Manager, Worldwide Benefits assists the Senior Manager,
Worldwide Compensation & Benefits by driving the strategy, design,
administration, and governance the Transocean employee benefits
programs worldwide. They oversee and manage a team of Benefits
Analysts to execute the required activity for the Benefits
Department.
Job Description
Education:
- Minimum Required - Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred - Bachelor's Degree with focus in Business, HR or
Finance Experience:
- Minimum Required - 5 years experience in benefits or benefits
related experience in Consulting, Corporate Benefits, Benefits
Administration or related field
- Preferred - 7+ years Skills:
- Required: Highly proficient with Microsoft Office; especially
Excel and PowerPoint
- Preferred: Understanding of Accounting and Finance Key Roles &
Responsibilities
- Identifies potential new benefits based on long-term strategy
and company goals, researches feasibility and financial impact,
partners with leaders in organization to gain alignment on
potential changes and new programs. Recommends change and vendor
assignment to Sr. Manager. Presents to leadership as needed.
Negotiates contract if needed. Owns requirement decisions for
change and partners with vendor as applicable. Responsible for
change management and final approval of employee facing
communications and tools, delivers employee presentation as
required. Ensures HR is aware of benefits changes/communications
and partners with Analyst as appropriate.
- Direct manager for team of analysts who conduct the ongoing
business and oversee the administration of the worldwide benefits
programs. Reviews progress and evaluates results of team. Oversees
and assigns work to analysts for ongoing delivery and future
benefits programs being considered. Resolves escalated benefits
related items with assistance from Benefits Analysts and provides
updates to Management as required. Escalation point with vendors
and ensures overall governance is managed through Sr. Analyst.
Works on contract and vendor assignment. Assists in vendor
selection process with Sr. Manager & Sr. Analyst
- Member of Fiduciary Committees and collaborate with other
involved members (Finance, Accounting, Actuaries, etc.) Assist
fellow fiduciary members in making decisions impacting benefits.
Partner and provide information requested and proactively to
Finance for plan participation changes, or items that may impact
company liability. Participate and coordinate items for Accounting
Significant Issues Meetings and Pension Valuations/Assumptions.
Coordinate statutory and regulatory filing requirements with Legal
and external parties, with assistance in preparation by
Analyst.
