for the development, oversight and execution of Consolidated
Dispatch strategy for the organization. Champion the proliferation
of SDO concepts and principles. Directs the development and
execution of organization and related initiatives designed to
enhance overall operational results, with focus on Area Dispatch
Manager professional development. II. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. -
- Manages relationship with Area Leadership, primarily Area
Dispatch Managers and Area Collection Directors to drive customer
service, and efficiency improvements through the Areas
- Identifies specific areas of opportunity across the business
for enhancing our operations, focus on continual improvement. Drive
consistent revenue generation improvements across centers by
supplying training, performance details and goal setting
improvements
- Identifies best practices across the organization and determine
how to best leverage plans into the overall business; Identifying
and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing
data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective
approaches for choosing a course of action or developing
appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with Training team to ensure CD Staff has
appropriate training. Provide direction for centers on training
initiatives.
- Work closely with customer experience, sales and IT to ensure
integration with other key business processes and initiatives.
Identify opportunities and take action to build strategic
relationships between one's area and other areas, teams,
departments, units or organizations to help achieve business goals.
- Contribute to strategies that improve efficiencies, district
engagement and drive dispatch centers toward world class
performance
- Champions change management, encouraging others to seek
opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing
problems and opportunities; facilitating the implementation and
acceptance of change within the workplace.
- Support & implement process changes and new technologies or
systems into the field.
- Communicate clearly and succinctly, conveying information and
ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations;
communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others'
thoughts and actions. .
- Work with Corporate and Area teams to model pilots and monitor
results in order to help develop go-forward tools and
strategies.
- Coordinates certification of Area's consolidated dispatch
operations.
- Providing feedback, instruction and development guidance to
help others excel in their current or future job responsibilities;
planning and supporting the development of individual skills and
abilities. III. Supervisory Responsibilities The highest level of
supervisory skills required in this job is the management of
managerial employees. This includes:
- Direct supervision of SDO Coaches and full-time employees,
including:
- Indirect supervision of Area Dispatch Managers. A. Education
and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
required. Ten or more years' experience in waste service or other
service business; experience must include specific focus on
dispatch functions B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or
Other Requirements None required. C. Other Knowledge, Skills or
Abilities Required Analytical and Problem Solving skills Strong
project management skills; working knowledge of group
infrastructure Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
Experience in leading/motivating large, diverse workforce; must be
able to build camaraderie/trust IV. Work Environment Listed below

- Work remote and ability to travel up to 80%.
- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such
as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) most of the work day;
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than

- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as
cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc) rarely;
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves
dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely;
